Noisettes - Never Forget You

Heard this song on the radio today as we were out driving to a cricket match with some of Gareth's friends. He leaves in two weeks, so we've been trying to spend as much time as possible together doing things with each other.

Today was my turn to learn how to play his favorite sport of cricket. Needless to say, it didn't go so well, I'm still confused by all the rules. When one of his friends, who was trying to teach me some of the terms, brought up the word "googly" I made a joke stating I didn't know what that was but if someone here is going to "googly" me, they better buy me a drink first. Now his friends all laughed, but Gareth shuffled away embarrassed and pretended he didn't know me.

In the end though, it was a good time and a great experience sharing this day with Gareth. I'm starting to get an appreciation for the game of cricket, it's coming along slowly. It's not football or hockey, but it can be fun. Of course, the best part is coming home now, dirty and sweaty and sneaking in the shower with him. I hear the water just coming on, so its time for me to go join him and maybe give the word "googly" a new meaning!
