Christmas Decorations

After going out for a nice steak dinner we stopped and picked up a Christmas tree for Gareths place. It was fun going together and picking out a tree although I had to rely on Gareth to pick a good one. I always want to bring home the Charlie Brown type tree because I feel bad for the small ones with defects that I know won't get picked.

Of course we tested the lights for the tree and two of the strands were half burned out. So we had to go back out to the store and get more lights before we could start decorating. Two of Gareths neighbors are also putting up their trees and outdoor decorations tonight and asked us to pick them up some things they needed. For doing that errand, his neighbor gave us some egg nogg they handmade. Now that we have all our lights and extension cords, we are drinking some egg nogg and decorating the tree and putting up the other decorations. The other neighbor just stopped by and dropped off some cookies she made. They're still warm. Nice.
