Still At Sea

Going on two weeks at sea with more to go. I'm constantly wet and tired and everything smells like the ocean and fish. Almost fell overboard yesterday, cracked my ribs and my lips are chapped from the winds. Gareth has also decided he is moving to South Africa to open a clinic and I'm not moving with him. Other than that, everything is fine.

Could use a shoulder right now to lean on.

Hang in there. Things always get brighter after a few moments in darkness.

man... can't believe I'm reading this... don't know what to say... I once wrote "les silences faits en duo en disent plus long que tous les mots"... which would translate "silences between 2 can say a lot more then all the words". Obviously, you're "cyber" not alone... we're here for you...

Hey... took the opportunity to log on... finally... I'm the anonymous (not anymore) who won't play guys team sports... and I have to say this... we're ever alone... only if we want to be... so... here's a thousand shoulders for you to lean on... and I bet the decision was not easy on Gareth either...

damn, hope everything works fine with you mate!!
ups and downs... that's life.
you'll do well! you're a very positive person, that's really good.
Just pick a close friend, once you can, go for a coffee and speak about everything that's inside. You'll receive a good feedback.
cheers

You have a bunch of shoulders to lean on whenever you need them. Your circle of friends is pretty extensive. Even though most of us have never met you in person we all feel as though we have known you for years. Being a sailor you know that storms pass. The sea will be calm again, your ribs and lips will heal and your life will return to normal. Life doesn't always seem bearable, but it is. "Well you know I'm a sailor and tomorrow we sail. It's a hard way of living, but I know it well. And when I return to the one that I miss, the longer the waiting, the sweeter the kiss." Hang in there.

The new songs are beautifully sad. I'm wishing I was onboard the boat with you and able to hold you during the down times in your bunk. You've made me smile many times reading this blog and now I wish I could think of something to say to make you smile.

My friend, may the seas calm and lead you home.

Several years ago my partner of twelve years informed me he was leaving to move entirely across the country. I did not have the option of joining him since I had just started my practice in LA.

All I can say is I made it; I ended up learning a lot about myself and we are still good friends. My best to you and Gareth.

I'm sorry to hear about Gareth moving to South Africa without you.

I hope the ribs get to feeling better and you get home safely. Like others have said, we're here for you if you need us.

This is shocking. I hope you are able to take some comfort from all the support you can count on. You are in my thoughts. I've kinda went under the radar after some family tragedy of my own in the last 6 months, but continue to follow your journey. Feel free to email me at anytime for advice or to vent.

You're in my thoughts and I will send peaceful wishes to you across the ocean - know you're not alone.

Hey buddy! I'm sorry to hear it!
there's nothing I can say that someone here didn't say yet, but you can bet if I could, I would just sit down beside you and share this hard moment, an try to make it easier for you!
I can't imagine how do you feel, but I know what we need when we are down, friends and company.

Hugs my distant friends! I'll be wishing the best for you.

Aw, that sucks. But don't worry, though. With your good looks and good heart you'll easily find another Celtic Prince. ;)

Fuck him. Who leaves their partner to go to South Africa to open a clinic without getting their lover's support? You are a good man A.I. I hope Gareth realizes it soon and makes up before it's too late. All the best baby. MJ

So sorry to hear this. Keep in mind there is no end without a beautiful new beginning. Until then, thinking of you and sending hugs while your heart and body heal.

Wow, Butch. That's a helluvan "oh, by the way." I hope you're doing okay, even though I know you're probably a wreck. You know I love you. Email me so I know how you're doing. And that man better get his shit together before I buy a plane ticket and come kick his ass. Who in his right mind would give you up--even for a little while?

My heart is saddened to hear of your news. As others have said, you will heal - in time, but it's perfectly ok to greive too. You've touched the lives of people around the world and we are sending you our thoughts of support and best wishes.

Anyone hear from him lately? Anyone talk to Gareth? Is he still at sea? Sweetie, we're worried, check in with us soon.

Hamish said...

I called his office yesterday. They informed me the ship is still at sea. For security reasons they could not release the return date. Have not heard from him since his last post.

budajsguy said...

Thanks for the update, Hamish. I've been worried about him. Please keep in touch.

Vévé said...

Thx Good Hamish... Nothing else to do then just wait... and Believe :)

Just checked in for the first time in a while and caught up on the latest bombshell - I'm really sad to hear about Gareth's decision.
Hope you're not feeling too much at sea emotionally and that you'll be back home with the people and cats who love you soon.

Thanks for the kindness you have shown towards me when I needed a friend. Sharing your thoughts, your life stories, and your heartfelt wishes touched my heart more than these mere words could ever express.
