Weekend Drinking

My best friend Mike from the states is visiting me this weekend. He wanted to spend St. Patricks Day in Ireland this year. We went to several pubs last night and we both got really drunk. He couldn't have picked a better weekend to visit because I really needed a friend last night.

Last week, we had some rough weather and I actually burned myself when I accidentally leaned against a hot pipe. My hand got burned and its going to be a couple weeks for it to heal. Because of it, I will be forced to work in the office until it heals.

When I came home this weekend I got news from my man that he is going to be going back to Africa on a new mission that will last several months. We had a fight and I'm not sure where things stand at this moment in time with us.

My roommate is also having issues with his girlfriend. I felt bad for my best friend who chose such a bad time to come for a visit since all these things are going on. But he has been very supportive and understanding. He said he taking time out from his issues while visiting, but we are all dealing with our lives. I just need to make sure he has a great time and all the other stuff gets put on hold until he leaves.

Tomorrow we are all getting together for the St. Patricks Day parade and the parties afterwards. Dublin is buzzing this weekend with lots of visitors from different places. Its been great meeting people that I never would have had a chance to meet.

My man just called, he is on his way over. Why did I have to fall in love with a man who is head strong, intelligent, and adventurous? Oh, I guess because that is what I have always been looking for! You know the old saying, beware of what you wish for, you just might get it.

Sorry to hear the news but I know everything will work out for you two. Love you. I'm going to call you tomorrow. I won't bug now because your guy is probably there by now. Love you both.
