It took me about 20sec to realize what was going on and tears came to my eyes! What a powerful illustration!

(I want to post this on my blog, do you mind if I credit you with a link?)

Sweet!! Loved it to bits!
So damn true, even though it's not such a far away reality. At least in Portugal it might be sooner than what I expect - it'll be taken to the parliament in the 8th of January for the final decision - keeping me fingers crossed! Let's see if I get married in 2010 =D
Hope the same happens here in Eire asap!
Cheers

We are almost in 2010 and we still live in a world where very few gays and lesbians are able to enjoy the same straight people's rights. Of couse gays and lesbians can live together as if they were married but the law doesn't recognize it.

But the most important thing is having a happy life with the one you love.

I would like to wish you and Gareth a Happy New Year and also invite you to visit my blog: http://verythinkable.blogspot.com

Rachel, feel free to use it.

Good luck Ped.

P. Flor - happy new year to you.

Aerelonian - Thanks. Someday Ireland will catch up to the times, hopefully soon. I thought it would be this year, but alas no.

Loved it! Here in the States gays and lesbians have become, along with their desire for the same civil liberties and rights that straight couples enjoy, the punching bag for the Republican party and others on the Far Right. Messages like this prove that we are no threat to traditional marriage. Rather, it appears to me, our quest for marriage equality affirms traditional marriage.
