Ummm, is he trying to tell us he is number one?

Hottub

I just got back from using the hottub here at the hotel. That was actualy a nice benefit of being here. In two hours I have to go to dinner with everyone when all I want to do is sit here naked and watch telly. Actually what I want to do is go home, find my man, grab him by the shirt and give him a long kiss. I'm really missing him right now. Only two days and I'm missing him already, how pathetic am I? Don't answer that!

Morning Wash

So this week I'm stuck in a hotel with a couple others to have more meetings. My boss told me he needs me with him again this week and is counting on me to close the deals because I can charm the socks off the clients. I asked him if I should be offended by that remark and he told me no, he meant it as a compliment. Apparently these clients said some nice things about me and they found me refreshing. Whatever that means. They requested I be there this week for the finalization of the talks.

I spent a couple nights with the clients last week at dinner and I really didn't say much, but I did do a lot of listening and maybe that is what they found refreshing in me, that I actually listened to them. So here I am stuck in a hotel as I get ready for another week of work, late night dinners, and I have to wear more ties this week. Charming my ass.

Just Another Saturday Night

We're grilling and drinking some beers tonight. The food smells so good, I can't wait to eat. It's just another Saturday night in Dublin. Wishing everyone else a great Saturday night and remember if you do go out partying, be careful. There are people that love you, I among them, so come home safe.

Spooning

I love resting in bed, watching the telly and snuggling into my man. I love to let my hand rest on his body and gently play with the hairs on his chest. He likes to wrap his arm around me and gently combs his hand through my hair. At commercial time, we'll steal a few kisses or I'll nibble at his neck.

It's usually all good and sweet until last night. He kept taking his hand down my side, tickling me. Now I have to state I'm very ticklish and don't like to be tickled. So I asked him not to do it. After the third time of him doing it, I grabbed some hairs on his chest and pulled them out. Before he could finish a loud yell of Irish cuss words, he had rolled over onto me and we we're in a full fledged wrestling match.

Now he has about a four inch height difference on me and weighs more than me, but I have strong leg muscles. So I wrapped my legs around his waist and squeezed until he had to release his grasp on my hands. When he tried to pry himself out of my leg grasp I whipped me legs to the side and threw him off. When I did this, he fell off the side of the bed, bounced off the dresser and knocked over a a light and few other things that fell all over the place.

I start feeling bad for him, so I sat up and asked him if he was alright. He faked injury and asked me to help him up. As I stood to help him get up, he suddenly scooped me up and slammed me down on the bed. As I hit the bed with a thud I could feel my foot accidentally bounce up and hit him in the crotch. He fell next to me on the bed in agony holding his groin. By the time the commercials were over, we we're lying there out of breath. So we just went back to watching the telly. Who knew spooning could be so dangerous?

A Dublin Lightpost

Most cities you walk down, the street lamps are just boring metal poles obstructing a view. But Dublin lightposts are full of shamrocks that not only show off a sense of Irish style, but are often the subject of tourist pictures. They often catch my eye as I walk down the street and I smile to myself knowing how lucky I am to be living this life and in this city.

A New Way To Take Pictures

A new technique for creating liquid lenses with water and sound could enable a new generation of low cost, lightweight, energy efficient cameras. This series of time-lapse photos shows how the lens, made up of two droplets of water vibrating at a high speed, changes shape and, in turn, moves in and out of focus.

Researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have designed and tested an adaptive liquid lens that captures 250 pictures per second and requires considerably less energy to operate than competing technologies. The lens is made up of a pair of water droplets, which vibrate back and forth upon exposure to a high-frequency sound, and in turn change the focus of the lens. By using imaging software to automatically capture in-focus frames and discard any out of focus frames, the researchers can create streaming images from lightweight, low-cost, high-fidelity miniature cameras.

Most current methods for manipulating liquid lenses involve changing the size and shape of the area where the liquid contacts a surface, in order to bring an image into focus. This takes both time and valuable energy.
