One Last Evening
Our last evening in Greece. I spent the day working in the water and between that and the sun I'm beat. I think we're all tired and ready to get home. Had a lot of fun, but home is calling. We're going to find a nice relaxing place to eat some dinner and have a few laughs and then we'll begin the trip home. I got to talk to Gareth today and hearing his voice and his laugh really makes me miss him and I can't wait to get home to him.
Beautiful eyes.

ReplyDeleteSaw Gareth yesterday, he's a lonely pup without you. Get yourself home, I need to borrow some cash.
ReplyDeleteLOL, don't you still owe me?
ReplyDeleteHere's a poem my father used to recite to me when I was young.
ReplyDeleteI must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by,
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face and a grey dawn breaking.
I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull's way and the whale's way where the wind's like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.
- John Masefield
Glad you had fun in Greece. Have a safe trip home.
ReplyDeleteThanks David. We're headed back in a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteDamo, thanks for the poem, that was nice. I could never imagine having a desk job again. lol
Don't drink and drive the ship. hehe
ReplyDeleteLOL! I don't steer the ship. That would not end good. I just take care of the equipment.
ReplyDeleteYou may be tired but at least you got a tan out of it. At least that is how I would look at it.
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting in the equipment room on the ship monitoring some of our tests. Its early morning, still dark outside. Just the soft glow of the equipment for light and I'm listening to Michael Buble. So I thought I would add my playlist of him to my blog. The stars are beautiful tonight. I've thought of several of you tonight and wonder what you're doing right now? Hope its been a good day or night and may tomorrow bring you much happiness.
ReplyDeleteWhose the hunk? Very cute! Have a safe trip back home. And I think you got some spankings coming your way for some of your little comments!:)
