Not only do you have to make sure you stay in the correct lane, you have to maneuver around narrow winding roads, rain, mist, fog, sheep, cows, roundabouts, and the dreaded loose chippings, not to mention other North American tourist drivers.
Irish drivers also like to drive right down the middle of the road to pass another car in spite of the fact that there is oncoming traffic in the other lane. First time I saw that, I freaked and I was just a passenger. I thought Americans were aggressive drivers, but at least we try not to drive into oncoming traffic.
Now today, I just found out from a friend that there are a lot of drivers in Ireland who do not have a valid drivers license! They just keep renewing their learners permits. I have been leary to drive over here since the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car. Now after hearing this, I am really scared to drive.
I luv the cartoon. Sounds like me on a the way to work.
